Yuan-Ti are found in three distinct form: Pure-Bloods, Half-Bloods, and Aberrations. Aberrations are considered the holiest, followed by the Half-Bloods, and then the Pure-Bloods. Each clan or tribe bears a specific type of snake and are said to poses powers and abilities based on the snake they hail form…

Pure-Bloods resemble humans in most of their features and could pass as a human at first glance.

Half-bloods poses far more snake like features including the upper and lower halves of their bodies being entirely composed of a variety of snake. Their weight and size are comparable to that of a ordinary human.

Aberrations are the largest, strongest, and most sinister of this race being the great leaders. Their appearance is that of a huge snake with arms weighing between 200 and 500 pounds depending on age.

History

The Yuan-Ti race is believed to of hailed from the great Draconian and Dragon lands as mere humans. They originally believed in the great gods Tiamat and Bahamut, but once the great Dragon War began these followers decided the two gods were not to be trusted and they placed their faith in something called Merrshaulk. Nothing is known of this creature outside the Yuan-Ti and they refuse to speak of it often dying to protect its secret.

The Yuan-Ti fled the Dragon lands being hunted and slain by both sides… Hunted to the point of extinction, this race fled into the darkest parts of the underdark to find horrors and evils that even the dwarves fled from. The other races of the deep did not aid them and eventually darkness claimed this race…

Many believe this race to completely extinct, but a few soothe sayers and oracles believe their strength was somehow maintained in the deep hidden from ALL eyes. These local legends are thought to be just stories… However, on occasion a fortress or stronghold is found in good repair, treasure abound, with NO inhabitants…

This begs the question… Are they gone? Or is their more to their faith of Merrshaulk than anyone realizes…
