Item Creation

Before you can create ANY item you must have the “Recipe” for the item. You may use the appropriate skill instead of research to create a recipe at the far reduced speeds.
Creation of items is similar except you need to pay 1/3rd the value of the item (Creation Cost) and then make a skill check vs DC 10. The amount you beat the DC by is the value in “gold” pieces of item(s) you create. Please note, creating your own items requires you to own a shop/lab/store/ect… A typical building of this caliber costs 1,000 gold per level and limits construction of new items by (Cost to Make Item / 10). (Max item gp value = {100 x Level}. In any event, no shop can be used to make a magical item of any kind (Exception is potions!) without paying 10,000 gold per level. I.e. a glade, wizard’s tower, & other magical buildings fall under this price and follow similar rules. Magical item creation costs however are according to my charts!
XP to make magic items may be substituted by materials you have gathered(i.e. Herbalism, skinning…) at a rate of 25GP/1XP.

Faciltiy Upkeep for Shops/Temples/Towers

No upkeep is required until a 1 is rolled on a creation check. On a roll a 1 and if shop fails BCR check, character must pay 10% of value of facility to maintain equipment. However, if “Item Level” is less than half of “Facility Level” then a “1” roll only indicates a failed item creation and creator must start over.

Ok These are base rules so to find how much it costs with a level 1 effect… Glibness is a level 4 effect, multiply these values by 4… VERY VERY EXPENSIVE, but prices can be reduced with additional research, skills, and gathered components…
Anyway this is a bit complicated so I tried to spell it all for you… Any questions just give me a shout out in an email.

*1. Artifacts – Note – Any Base Cost over 10,000 becomes an artifact by default and suffers the modifiers below.
All Costs and times required x2.
*2. Research cost can be multiplied by 2x and the Research time will go to 0. (You buy the recipe/research from mages guild or other source, it is possible to haggle but difficult.) Reduce cost by 1% per skill check bonus (including ability modifiers and race modifiers for humans). This is what I will be doing for haggle/diplomacy checks in the future. If research is continued upon the it me after creation BC will be reduced by 10% of current cost – I.e. an item costing 1000 being researched to level 2 would go to 900 {1,000 x.9}… Level 3 would bring it to 810 {900 x .9}…ect…
*3. These items may/will require specific objects (questing) in order to create (Up to DM), These objects will only come to knowledge if research is completed, note – Similar items may have been crafted with different items and recipes may differ from one another
